Rhys McClenaghan's journey began at Rathgael Gymnastics Club in Bangor, County Down, where his natural talent and determination quickly became evident. Introduced to gymnastics at the age of six, he spent years dedicated to early mornings, countless hours of training, and continually developing his skills. His passion for the sport and unwavering commitment laid the foundation for the remarkable success that would follow.
Paris 2024
Olympic Gold
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Rhys delivered the performance of a lifetime on the pommel horse, claiming gold and etching his name into Irish sporting history. It was the culmination of years of sacrifice, resilience and unwavering belief in the dream.
